The Aikido curriculum includes:

Taijutsu (Hands-on): The student learns ukemi, footwork, hands-on techniques and self-defense applications. Aikido can be very physical so the student will develop a strong cardiovascular overtime.

 AikiKen (Wooden Sword) and AikiJo (stick) are an important part of the curriculum because they help the student to develop strength and control. There are over 100 techniques and katas that the student will learn overtime.

Advanced ukemi

The current class schedule is as follows:

Monday starting July 1st, 2024 at the Way of Orient from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.

Tuesday and Wednesday at the Way of Orient, martial arts studio from 6:30pm to 7:30pm

Tuesdays and Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Memorial Park in Ventura.

Private class and private Parkinson classes are also offered.

La Vie Acupuncture Clinic, Inc. is currently sponsoring Ventura Aikido so all instructors are volunteers.​

Way of Orient, Martial Arts studio fee: $10/class.

The classes (Weapons: Jo and Bokken), at the park, are free.
